Closed in 1982 then completely transformed, the docks are now one of THE places to visit in the city. See the “Theatre of Dreams”, visit the largest collection of Lowry paintings in the world, plunge into Manchester’s wartime past in the Imperial War Museum North, see the theatres, the galleries the vistas, look out over the entire city and region northwest from the viewing tower and if this wasn’t enough look at the new “Media City” being built before your very eyes.
